I really couldn't understand why anyone in their "right mind" would pay £80m for a Club that was probably worth around £15-£20m.

Obviously money laundering never crossed my mind.

Surely if your money laundering & paying well over the odds for a UK prem team, is only going to draw attention to yourself.

Whilst it remains a possibility I prefer to wait and see what transpires in the court proceedings.

We are talking about someone who got caught aren't we.

Not at all.

He has been charged with a crime but that does not necessarily mean he will be found guilty.

I still believe he will get off tbh.

It would be interesting to see the fans reaction towards him if he is found not guilty, would they forgive and forget?

For all I know he could get off and back blues again. If he does continue with the plans pannu's mentioned, I would be very happy indeed.

But it all remains to be seen.

Last time I checked their turnover was within coppers of BCFC so apart from taking in the odd bag of washing and a hairdressers (temporarily Closed) in Kowloon
doesnt seem much there!!

KRO

The development assets won't be contributing towards profit until they generate a revenue stream and the sky's the limit

Well we all know what Blues fans are like.

Once they've made their minds up about something, all the evidence in the world won't convince them otherwise.

The only way fans will forgive and forget is if he was found not guilty, came back over straight away, had a press conference and apologised for all the troubles and then pledged loads of dosh as a "sorry".

If he was found not guilty I would hope that he and PP make very loud noises to the worlds press about how the Hong Kong/chinese police have tried to ruin CY and also tried to devalue both a succesful football club and devalue the shares in BIH........call for a possible investigation into what their methods might be in bringing the charges in the first place. Obviously hypothetical but if the charges are dropped he needs to shout as loud as he can about possible police corruption etc to ensure that a, they don't try it again and b, the club are dealt with a bit more sympathy than they have been of late by the press (I know its a long shot but you never know eh!).

At the end of the day, if he is found not guilty or the charges are dropped then we as fans have to say both CY and us have been unfortunate and that we have to move on together to get the club back where they should be and not as a yo yo club anymore!

My feelings on WHY the club was bought (see earlier post on this topic) still stand but i won't decry anyone for doing that if they can also turn the club into a succesful on in, arguably, the best league in the world!

I may stand to be corrected on this one, but I thought that all the current charges against CY were for activities he was alleged to have conducted BEFORE he became involved with BCFC and do not involve us at all.

If so, some people need to be careful what they say.

Remember in the summer he said we wouldn't have a fire sale and we did.
